Savoy House Lighting

Enriched by a family-owned history and strong Atlanta roots, Savoy House was founded in 1965 by the father and son team of Robert and Fred Lee. The business grew quickly from a small shop into an assembly plant and warehouse, a catalog, then a network of nationwide sales representatives — and hasn't stopped growing since.

What was then known as Progressive Lighting was the result of a big gamble taken by Robert Lee in the 1930s. He was plowing a field in South Georgia when he saw a train in the distance and thought that he’d like to do pretty much anything other then plow a field that day, so he jumped on the train with nothing but the clothes on his back. That train went into East Point, just south of Atlanta. Robert found a better future in the big city. And thus the titan of lighting was born. All these years later the brand that is now called Savoy House is a fixture in the lighting business. The company uses the same work ethic Robert used to plow fields as it plows ahead to create lighting that is high quality, withstands the test of time and features options to suit every style and budget. With a team of designers, including Pierce Paxton, Traci Porter and Raymond Waites, Savoy House continues to innovate and evolve its business. "We want to continue to develop fashion-forward lighting designs with value price points," said Jeff Lehman, Savoy's national sales manager. Savoy House products have been featured on HGTV’s hit show "Property Brothers" and the new FOX home makeover show "Home Free." The brand has come a long way from the fields of South Georgia. But it's a worldwide leader in a field of its own.
